What websites advertisers want to publish on - a tally of inquiries from the United Kingdom and the United States
(2 min. read)
We analyzed almost 180,000 search queries in the WhitePress® advertiser's panel that were generated by users from 28 countries. This data analysis allowed us to conclude the most valued parameters of websites (marketing, SEO, technical, and others), which are substantial for digital marketing strategies based on link-building and content marketing.
We will go through the most commonly used filters and their settings, worldwide and in the United Kingdom and the States of America. In addition, we will compare data with other regions where WhitePress® is available. We will assess how often each filtering method is utilized and its impact on creating a personalized list of publisher’s portals.
For analysis purposes, we have selected queries from 28 countries:
Romania, Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Germany, United States, Great Britain, Slovakia, Turkey, Italy, Netherlands, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Denmark, Portugal, Latvia, Austria, Greece, Ukraine, Belgium, Switzerland, Estonia, Australia.
Most popular filters worldwide
First, we would like to cover the most commonly used filters in all examined countries.
Table no. 1: Percentage of queries that contain the various categories of WhitePress® filters.
*We analyzed 175,521 inquiries. Each of them can signify several filter uses. At least one use of a filter of a given type counts as an instance of the filter category.
** We have excluded the “Select the country of publication” filter from the analysis, as it is used automatically based on the chosen language.
Be aware that only basic filters are displayed in the default WhitePress® panel view.
The other options are hidden under “ADVANCED FILTERS” and are not shown without user interaction. The order of parameters shown in the panel affects their use by customers —technical filters, located at the bottom of the page, appear the least in queries.
